Self Image Editing / in the New Creation Reality - is a Biblical Interpretation of an image editing process, with its basic elements, like: contrast, shadows, brightness etc.

We all are born into this world of sin, so we all share the same starting point. I call it here "Default self-image. Right together with it is its relligious option, which is nothing different from the world one. But then, the editing process is: Beholding Jesus and receiving life from Him. Through what He has done and who He is.

I believe this mini-devotional will assist you with clarity and draw you closer into the fellowship with the word of God. Especially if you would read the verses listed.

I'm supposed to live to promote "my truth", in whatever area. To stand up for myself and my values. Everyone lives like that, and is locked within the dimensions of self.

I don't want to waste my time in this! Not anymore.

Here is a religious option: to measure my life by the standards of a denomination. Like putting myself in a box.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the way, the truth and the life. You are the image, the essence and the glorious expression of the invisible God.

Being eternal divine Son, the only Begotten of the Father, You have come in the form of the flesh to redeem us into Yourself. Through Your sacrifice, You bring many sons into glory. Your physical manifestation opened a door for us to enter Your dimension.

Today, filled with Your divine life in our spirit, we live to express You and to reveal You through our physical life in this world.

The measure of You, Jesus, manifesting through my being, is the only true dimensions of my life. I yield to You and Your life within me.

I'm supposed to have a dream, to become somebody in this world, and now, live to fulfil my dream. Everyone lives like that. It's an accepted format.

I don't want to waste my time in this! Not anymore.

Here is a religious option: Whatever the form of godliness looks like in their denomination. To be compressed by their religious standards of behavior will not save me from decay.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You humbled Yourself and came into our sinful world. You compressed yourself into a format of human flesh, in order to accomplish our salvation. And because You humbled Yourself, God has exalted You and have given You a name above all other names. As You are, so are we in this world. We are Your children, carrying the treasure of Your divine life in our earthen vessels.

You work Your life-giving virtues into us, in the midst of tribulations, and we are being preserved in this world through Your work of sanctification. We are being deflated and compressed daily, and all the death in us is being swallowed up by life.

I'm supposed to fit a global picture of a happy society. Adjusting to the new normal is the cropping procedure, everyone is involved in.

I don't want to waste my time in this! Not anymore.

Here is a religious option: Crop the bad and leave the good.

It doesn't work, because the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil produces death.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are on the throne of my heart. You are my King and my Redeemer. You are my world.

I was Your enemy, fully given to the rebellious nature of sin, But now, alive in my spirit, I carry Your image. The image of the second Adam, - the life-giving Spirit.

Everything extra, every aspect of my personality, which doesn’t come into submission to Your authority, is an unwanted area and must be removed from the picture. Every thought be taken captive and every high thing, which exalts itself against the knowledge of God in me - let it be pulled down and cropped out of my life!

The world is spinning in chaos. In the midst of human disorientation, an artificial giant is raised, as a standard. Out of despair, everyone is turning to it.

I don't want to waste my time in this! Not anymore.

Here is a religious option: To accept certain religious authority figures as my" to go to" resource. "We are your spiritual covering, they declare, "We got you covered!"

Oh, Lord Jesus!

In the past, I turned to so many places, trying to find out who I am and to experience love: To knowledge, to arts, to position in society. I tried to be recognized and acknowledged or, at least, respected... and had a certain measure of what people call success. In all that, my perception of myself was rotated and flipped without end.

But now, I have no confidence in my flesh. I turn to You, Jesus. From the world of vanity, unto You. You are the desire of all nations. You are the treasure I discovered in the field.

You are my very life, You and none else. I live to love You, Jesus. I live to know You, and witness Your reality to everyone around me.

Modern civilization is introducing its bright new world, its Golden Age. And I'm instructed to participate.

I don't want to waste my time in this! Not anymore.

Here is a religious option: Trying to follow the bright law of the Scripture, I discover my own darkness. I try to brighten up, but my efforts are in vain. No matter, how much I try.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the true light, that gives light to every man that comes into the world. In You, I dwell in the light, and the darkness cannot comprehend it. The light of the glorious Gospel shone into my life and illuminated my heart with the knowledge of Your glory and Person. I focus on Your eternal light in my spirit, and it pushes away the darkness, which tries to keep me in my old sinful nature.

Your light takes over in every aspect, and my life shines brighter and brighter every day. You transform me to be a carrier of Your divine essence, ushering into the world a dawn of Your eternal revelation.

We have different personalities. My opinions, preferences and values might be different from those of others. But put together, all these contrasting opinions create one grayish mixture of human wisdom.

Here is a religious option: To fight, defending your denomination, group, and their specific way of doing church. To stand out, by putting others in the mud.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You declared that Your kingdom is not of this world. Your kingdom is superior and is the only reality, which is in contrast to the present, hopeless chaos. Your Kingdom operates in exact opposite to the world’s environment: As Your children, though still living in the world, we are not of it. We live by dying, we gain by losing. We are strong, when we are weak. Not only that, but we are rich, when we don’t hold onto any earthly possessions. We are free, being fully submitted to Christ’s authority.

Because of this contrast, the world hates and persecutes everyone, who lives godly.

My natural talents, my field of expertise! Whatever I was investing in all these years! We are told: "You are on the brink of breaking through into the spotlight! Keep pushing!"...

Here is a religious option: To become a religious star. Instead of praising your talents, fans will praise your charisma, your anointing, or your sacrificial service.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the living Christ. You are the highlight of my life. You shine from the highest point. You direct my life perception and guide my attention. You highlight the important details. Navigating my daily activities, I follow Your highlight. You bring forth the true value and meaning of every aspect of life. You point out its true color.

This light, shining from Your face, is life-giving. I let it transform me and saturate my entire being. You bring forth the purpose of the original creation: to unite under Your headship for all eternity. Jesus, Your death and resurrection shine as a laser beam, penetrating all the layers of darkness of the old creation. Its radiance brings forth the original purpose of my life. May the rest of the image be subdued under Your authority unto everlasting life in You.

Recognition and applause - is the world's idea of a vivid life, saturated with success. And I'm expected to subscribe to that, like everyone else...

Here is a religious option: Positions in the ministry, titles, size of the congregation... Same competition, same hunger for recognition, only hidden, behind the scenes...

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the purity of my life, in every sense: in the past, present and future. You are my justification, sanctification and redemption. Every day, I desire to be saturated with You - Your presence and Your Person. Because You are my eternal treasure.

I discard as garbage everything else, so that I can gain Christ. For the surpassing excellence of knowing You, Jesus, I consider everything loss.

The world passes away, with all its pursues and shameful lasts, but I live forever to carry out Your purpose. Your Word, written on my heart, and expressed through my daily life, becomes more and more vivid in me. Let everything else stay muted.

Dealing with unpleasant, even scary, shadows, the world promotes psychology and all the positive talk. It's made to put me deeper into sleep, instead of solving an issue.

Here is a religious option: Deny the message of the cross and learn the positive confession. There are many counseling and therapy sessions available...

Oh, Lord Jesus!

I was Your enemy, a child of disobedience. Under the control of the prince of the power of the air, I walked in the corrupt deceitful lusts, walking the course of this world.

But You transferred me out of darkness into Your marvelous light. You opened my eyes to distinguish between light and darkness, between truth and counterfeit, because there are no gray areas, no mixture between life and death. True life is pure and holy, it’s Your very essence. Now, I yield myself to You, to Your life within me. I cleanse myself from all the defilement of flesh and of spirit, putting off my old man and putting on the new.

I step out of the shadows. I acknowledge my sin, receive your forgiveness and fellowship with You in the light.

I'm supposed to be identified as hot in appearance, and cool in conduct. These are accepted standards, and the race goes on and on...

Here is a religious option: Seeker-friendly church extends a warm welcome to everyone. Compromise takes the place of true love. And I'm supposed to enjoy that...

Oh, Lord Jesus!

I delight in Your presence! Such a pleasant environment for me. Everything aligns to Your will. Our fellowship is a mutual enjoyment and I desire to please You. From Your own words, I understand that You want me to be hot or cold. And here I am, Lord:

Towards sin and towards my old self-centered nature, I am dead - that’s cold. Towards righteousness, I’m hungry - that’s hot. Even more, the zeal of Your house consumes me! I carry Your passionate love in my regenerated spirit. Your Spirit within me yearns with jealousy. That’s fire.

But one thing I am surely not: I am not lukewarm, not indifferent.

Today, we all are encouraged by the system, to give up our privacy and freedoms, for the “common good”. The more you agree, the more you recognize its mindset and its "image" in your personal life.

Here is a religious option: To give religious leaders full access into you, putting yourself under their grid of control. Trusting men, putting confidence in the flesh...

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You have come as a man, to reconcile me to the Father. Dying on the cross in my place, you have opened the way for me to come into God’s Holy Presence and receive life. Before that, my sinful flesh stood in between me and God. His eternal light, though shining, could not reach my life. But thank you, Jesus! You’ve made it possible. Your blood provided my redemption and forgiveness. The water, which flew out from Your side, fills me with Your divine life and light in my spirit.

Being filled with Your light in my innermost being, I die daily, carrying the cross. So that this same light of Your truth may saturate my soul as well, operate in my body and pass through me unto others.

SELF is refined to the extreme and its image is presented in well-defined edges and textures, to the finest details. I'm supposed to be an expert of how to love, protect, respect and promote mySELF.

Here is a religious option: Everything is regulated - prayer activity, giving, reading the Bible, good deeds... with a focus on my self-righteousness, self-humility etc.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the focus of all creation. Everything was created by You, through You and for You. You are the brightness of God’s glory and the impress of His substance.

I iwas created in Your image, with Your Person, Jesus, being the center and the focus. You bring my whole image into focus. When I focus on Who You are, I can understand who I am.

When I started to look on mysef, I could not see the original image , and my life got confused, out of focus.

But You guide me to bring every aspect of my life into the focus, and I renew my mind daily. Your word is sharper than a two-edged sword. In it, I find You and restore my focus on Your Person.

The world promotes its own distorted version of freedom. I'm supposed to desire to be some kind of a free element, so elevated and intelligent, not accountable to anyone... shortly, "free" from God.

Here is a religious option: To embrace colectivism and enforced obedience within the hirarchy structure - a distorted version of obedience to the truth.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

I prayed for Your will to be accomplished in my life... and You answered my prayer. And went to work. Honestly, I hated it - the troubles, the pain, the losses, the misunderstandings, betrayal, loneliness, sickness, despair... At times, I felt that You forgot about me. Looking at myself, I could see ruins everywhere...

But You carried me through all the tribulations, and I didn’t give up on seeking Your face. And now, looking back, I perceive Your image within me. It’s so beautiful, so life-giving!

You started a good work in me and promise to faithfully continue it till the end. I trust myself into You, Lord. Do with me, as You please - until Christ be fully formed within me. Jesus, You are free to transform me. I desire to be ready for eternity with You.

The world offers its own version of light, a false light, and invites everyone to be exposed to it, like getting a stylish suntan. Exposure to that lie, numbs and destroys your soul.

Here is a religious option: Sign up for a weekly exposure to the traditions of men, and endless discourses, which nullify the very Word of the liivng God.

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You are the true light! You have shown into the world. Your light pierced the darkness and opened for all people the way into freedom. But many chose to hide from the light, for fear to be exposed. Oh, Jesus! So many times, I was hiding my sins and was going further from Your face, deeper into darkness... But You kept drawing me with the bands of love. And here I am - Your miracle.

I was once darkness, but now am light, in the Lord.

I step boldly into Your light. I let myself be exposed to Your truth. Fully. You can come into the most secret chambers of my heart, I want Your life-giving light, more than anything.

You have captured my heart, my Beloved. And as I let myself be captured by You, I capture Your light into my being, more and more.

In the context of the fast approaching apocalyptic scenario, the world is rushing to establish its own "solution", the so-called "global reset", urging me to be a part of in their "peace and security".

Oh, Lord Jesus!

You descended into the lowest places and ascended to the highest. You have overcome death and now, exalted above every other authority, you are the Head of the Church, Your Body. It has both universal and local reality.

I’m so grateful, that I can be a part of Your action upon the earth, to participate in the building of Your beloved Bride - Your glorious counterpart, the fullness of Your expression for all eternity.

Thank you, Lord, for all my brothers and sisters. For support in fighting my battles, carrying my burdens and sincere love. Together, we are Your testimony, a wonder to be revealed.
